LVX Winter 2015 Eiffel

Hello lovelies!

For today's post, I have the final colour from LVX's Winter Resort 2015 collection. LVX polishes are free of toxic chemicals like formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutylphthalate, and camphor. They are cruelty free and vegan friendly. LVX products can be found here: www.shoplvx.com

Eiffel is a metallic bronze shade that is sparkly yet sophisticated. I used 2 light coats for this swatch.

I love the finish on this polish. It's not too glossy so the metallicness of the polish is the star.

I added a water marble accent using Eiffel and Avalon, from LVX's Holiday 2014 collection.

This shot is under natural light.

The Winter Resort 2015 collection is versatile and perfect for any occasion.  Vamp is a lush dark purple, a great alternative to black and Denim is a cool, vibrant shade, great for weekend fun. Crimson and Eiffel are classy, sophisticated shades. And Femme is the perfect shade of pink for work and play, while Mineral is a trendy shade that is eye-catching but not jarring like pure white polish can be. I'm happy to say I'll be giving away some LVX polishes soon so make sure you follow me on Instagram for the announcement!

Polished by KPT Mars Escapade

Hello friends!

For today's post, I have a pretty thermal polish to show you. It is called Mars Escapade and it is made by the independent polish company, Polished by KPT

Polished by KPT are hand blended polishes made in the USA by entrepreneur, Katherine Tran. Her polishes are free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, dibutylphthalate, and camphor. They are cruelty free and vegan friendly (not tested on animals and contain no animal by-products).

Mars Escapade is from her Cosmic Xodus collection. It is a heat sensitive polish so it changes colour depending on your body temperature. It is full of purple, pink and iridescent shimmer.

When the polish is in its cold state, it is a dark bluish purple. I used 3 coats for this swatch with a top coat. Alone, Mars Escapade dries slightly matte.

In its warm state, Mars Escapade changes to a dark mauve pink shade.

Thermal polishes are fun to use because they change so quickly with changes in your body temperature. Visit www.polishedbykpt.com for more information on how to purchase this and other pretty polishes.

LVX Winter 2015 Mineral

Hello sweets!

For today's feature, I'll be showing you another colour from LVX's Winter Resort 2015 collection.

LVX polishes are free of harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, Dibutylphthalate, and camphor. They are not tested on animals and do not contain any animal by-products.

This creamy pale gray is called Mineral and it is opaque in 1 coat!

This and Femme are my favourites from the Winter Resort collection.
This light gray is light yet not stark white. This swatch is before I added the top coat.

If you've been following my Instagram, you'll know how much I love the artist, Sage Vaughn. He's incredibly talented and also incredibly sweet. I recreated a couple of his paintings as inspirations for nail designs. He offered to send me his new art book, Momentary. Momentary is full of photos of Sage's beautiful butterfly paintings. It can be found on Amazon.com

I had to draw inspiration from it for the design I used over Mineral.

For the butterflies I used the advanced stamping technique and coloured in the outline of the butterflies from the SN-004 stamping plate from www.lightinthebox.com

This is one of my favourite designs I have done recently!

Make sure you give Sage's website a visit and LVX's page to see how to purchase.

LVX Winter 2015 Crimson

Hello lovelies!

Next up in my swatches of LVX's Winter Resort 2015 collection is Crimson, a dark red creme.

LVX polishes are 5-free (no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP or camphor). They are highly pigmented and easy to apply. Crimson took 2 thin coats for perfect opacity.

This blood red is a great winter colour. It has cool undertones.
I had this polish on all week. It's great for work.

For the accent nails, I used Eiffel from LVX's Winter Resort Collection. The fan design was done using nail stencils from Snail Vinyls
LVX polishes are high quality and are on par with any high end department store brand. Visit their website www.shoplvx.com for more information on how to purchase!

LVX Winter 2015 Femme

Hello friends!

For the next swatch from LVX's Winter Resort 2015 collection, I have a perfect pink creme called Femme.

As with all LVX's polishes, Femme is 5-free (no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor, or Dibutylphthalate), cruelty free (not tested on animals), chip resistant and high quality. It is a red-toned baby pink creme so it is opaque in 2 thin coats. The accent nail is Mineral by LVX which I'll be showing you in another post.

You may have a colour like this already in your collection but what sets this polish apart from others is that the quality and formula make it long lasting and easy to apply. I have worn pinks by OPI and they usually last only a couple of days before chipping. LVX's gel like finish allow this polish to be worn for a full week without any chips.

This polish has the perfect name for it because it is girly yet classy and chic.

I added a chevron design to the accent nail using nail vinyls from www.upyournail.com and the silver glitter finger is Lumières by Polished by KPT

Femme is definitely on my list for all time favourite polishes because it is the perfect pink shade for my skin tone. Make sure you visit www.shoplvx.com to see more of their fashion forward polishes!

LVX Winter 2015 Vamp

Hello love bugs!

Today's feature is on another beautiful shade from LVX's Winter Resort 2015 collection.

This gorgeous dark purple is Vamp and it is perfectly opaque in 1 coat.

Vamp is a dark berry purple with red undertones. I used 2 coats in this swatch with no top coat.

I'm in love with how dark and sexy this colour is. The purple is a great alternative to a pure black polish because it is mysterious yet feminine.

Because Vamp is a dark royal purple, I was inspired to add a hand painted gold shield.
The gold on the ring finger is OPI Love Angel Music Baby and the gold used for the painted shield is Trust Fund Beauty Champagne Problems.

LVX polishes are non-toxic, cruelty free and long-lasting. Visit their website www.shoplvx.com for more info on how to purchase one of my all time favourite brands.
